EMPO Directors
Frank
Hardy
Frank
Hardy entered into the property market in 1945 and has continued in this arena.
He has established a property portfolio of eighteen houses during his
time. He
has served on approximately sixteen sub committees relating to housing with
Nottingham City Council and became involved with the former NFRL in the 1990's. Frank has spearheaded the negotiation of special discounts for landlords across the country and still remains an active director even though he is now over 80 years of age. Frank was involved with the expansion of the NFRL through the 'Working Together' initiative, and was formerly the EMPO Chairman.
Angela Lyons
Angela gained 15 years experience in Marketing, PR and Event Management prior to becoming a full-time landlord five years ago. She has undertaken several projects including the relaunch of EMPO's journal 'Professional Landlord', which she continues to edit, producing marketing material for EMPO and organising evening seminars for our members.
Angela's portfolio is focused on the student market. She joined EMPO in 2004 and she has volunteered for many EMPO projects because she enjoys the issues she is involved with. She comments that the indirect benefits of being a hands-on director have been invaluable in keeping abreast of landlord issues, legislation and management.
Jonathan Detheridge
Jonathan
Detheridge is a Managing Director of Nottingham based Letting Agent & Estate Agent GO Property Services Ltd. As an agent and private landlord himself, Jonathan has
worked in residential property management for 10 years and has been an EMPO member since 2004. Jonathan specialises in professional lets and is a member of the NAEA & ARLA.
Dan Walker
Dan Walker is a Partner of Beeston based CP Walker & Son. CP Walker
& Son is a family business that has been letting and managing
property around the Nottingham area since 1896. Dan himself has been
investing in property since 1987. He is a qualified Chartered Surveyor
with 20 years of experience working within the property and construction
industry. Dan's professional qualifications and experience mean that
he can provide EMPO Members with answers to many of the technical
queries that EMPO receives about tenancies and other legislation. He
also represents EMPO on a number of Committees with the Nottingham City
and Broxtowe Borough Councils.
Nigel Parry
Nigel Parry (and his wife!) are owners of Belvoir! Nottingham. He is a multi-property landlord in his own right and is a member of several landlord and regulatory organisations including NALS, The Property Ombudsman and EMLAS. He is also regional Chairman of the Belvoir Group.
Nigel has been a member of EMPO since 2006 and regularly represents EMPO at regional landlord association meetings as well as speaking at National events. His knowledge and experience of the industry compliments the existing director's and he strives to enhance the value of being an EMPO member where he believes a local organisation is more attuned to the requests from local landlords than that of a national association.
Nigel is proprietor of Belvoir Lettings on Castle Boulevard in Nottingham.
EMPO is always looking for new Directors to join the board. If you feel
that you can help Landlords across the region and you want to get
involved, please contact us on 0845 094 0386, we would love to hear from
you.
